UKMedi improves loading times with Fudge by 30%

UKMedi focuses on fantastic customer service and strives to do everything it can to make them happy. Site speed is part of this. Customers become frustrated when they have to wait for pages to load and this was an issue UKMedi was battling with. They reached out to Fudge to determine if the tool could change this.

UKMedi added a TXT to get set up with Fudge and start a free trial. Within 48 hours, the analysis was completed, and UKMedi could test their site with the Fudge improvements. Various features, such as pre-fetching the LCP image, inlining critical CSS, and loading third-party apps in a separate thread, were identified to significantly impact overall performance. UKMedi immediately rolled out the Fudge improvements to 50% of their customers to start the A/B test to quantify the impact of Fudge.

With Fudge's improvements rolled out to all customers, UKMedi saw improvements across all of their core web vitals. Most notably, Mobile LCP was 30% faster and CLS improved by over 40%. UKMedi moved platforms, and the results from Fudge continued to impress. Over time, the improvements with Fudge have increased, resulting in a consistently fast site with limited layout shifts.
